Ingredients:
- 1 small lauki / bottle guard(cut into small pieces)
- ½- cup chana daal / split chickpeas
- 1-medium size potato(cut into small pieces)
- 1 tablespoon oil
- 1-cup nutrela (soya chunks)
- 1-tsp cumin seeds
- 1 medium onion
- 1- medium size garlic
- 1 tsp red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 tbs curry powder
- 1- tsp coriander powder
- salt to taste
- Soak chana dalal and nutrela in hot water for 3-4 hours.
- Make the paste of onion, garlic and tomato.
- First fry the nutrela in the pan and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and let it crackles, add onion and garlic.
cook until the paste starts leaving the pan and oil comes up.
- Add lauki, chana daal, potato, nutrela and all the dry powder in it and add 1/2 cup of water and pressure cook for 2 minutes.
- Now lauki chana daal curry is ready, Serve hot with chapatis.
